I've been playing a lot of madden the last ten days or so and I have to say that I've not had a single game freeze online or otherwise. Please do not be discouraged about buying this game. Contrary to some bad reviews, this is a solid title. The graphics are unbelievable and the running and passing games are smooth. A lot of people are complaining about dropped balls but it's probably their lack of timing and placement. My only complaint is the weakness of the online leagues. The overall format and lack of options are terrible at best.

I have played madden enough to know that I don't like this game.
There are too many missed tackels on the defence and lets don't forget about the running game that ain't worth a dime. You can't run the ball for many yards. They took the passing cone off which was a good feature of the game. This game is more like an arcade game than like a simulation game.
I'm just glad I didn't blow $60 on this game. The best madden ever was 06 on the ps2 and xbox.

You know EA was thinking of Mutant League Football when they made Madden 09 one of the acheivments is to create a Mutant League Football player named Bones Jackson.
Come on EA we know you can make this game,and a lot of people I have talked to would love to see the game resurrected.

EA BRING BACK MUTANT LEAGUE FOOTBALL PLEASE!

I love everything about the game except not having the passing cursor. I liked actually controlling where the ball is being thrown.

love the game, hate the online leagues. they should have left them in the same format as ncaa. or at least gave us the option.

I think EA needs to bring back training camps, there is not a way to make players new to your team any better, plus, the overall improvement of the players year to year is almost nonexistent. An example would be Jake Long on the Dolphins, 3 seasons in he is still rated an 85. Also, how does doing a 40 yard dash improve a kicker's accuracy?
