Well, I've had NCAA Football 09 for about a week and played it about five or six times.  I have noticed that I still hate one thing about all of the Football titles. I always switch to a person in coverage when the quarterback throws the ball at least once when I'm actually trying to switch to another pass rusher.  It is frustrating because it always becomes a big play.

Other than that, they have done a really good job with this year's version.  I've tried playing online a couple of times to see if the experience has changed but, it hasn't.  I probably won't be playing online much unless it is one of my brothers or friends.  I really get tired of people who just do no huddle and long ball down field every play.  My first game online this season, a guy actually had QB Sneak in his audibles.  ARE YOU SERIOUS?   He no huddled at the 2 yard line and audibles a QB Sneak.  Call it smart play calling if you want, I've never seen it happen in real life in my 35 years of living.

I like the game overall.  It is a little more responsive in some areas but the defense responsiveness is still annoying.  The best features this year are online dynasties and the ability to call an audible without tipping off the defense (except when the stupid TV Broadcasters say "Looks like they are changing things up here."  How the hell would he know, and why is he telling my opponent?  Oh well, you can't have everything work perfectly can you?

I just want good clean strategy based football (sim), not a graphics war.  Out think me, out coach me, and I will take a loss like a man.  But if you have to take advantage of the programming to win, miss me with your invite please, I'm not interested!

yeah when it comes down to online game play, the fundamentals of football play calling go out the window and become basic 1on1 player stats coverage with long bombs. Takes the fun and compition out. I've played 1 game online and the guy had 3 offensive plays go for 80+ yards to the same guy on his first 3 offensive plays so I quit and will likely not play online again.

I feel you. For me the user responsiveness is not very fluid. Feels like I'm on water sometimes. And the worst thing IMO is players don't get tired fast quick enough. I'll play OHIO ST. and they'll sub in Pryor or I'll play West Virginia, Florida w/Tim T., and so on and people run left, right all over with their QB and they don't seem to get tired. At least in MADDEN when you run w/your QB they get tired and a lineman will actually catch them. I understand NCAA is not MADDEN but they make things too Arcade like. I almost wonder if they are so afraid to make it like MADDEN that they have to do it hald assed.*shrugging* It's addicting to play online sometimes but it does get boring and annoying playing Ohio St., Georgia, OSU and West Virginia over and over and over. But then again I am the TROJANS so it is what it is. lol
