Hi guys, God damn EA servers still doesn't works. Daaaaaamn, when it's going on in the middle of game, i want to kill EA staff. Do something!!! Why i need to pay money for this ****.

Hey guys, i'm having the same problem. I go to ranked quick match and then that's it. It just stays on the screen saying searching for opponent. I can't even cancel it, i have to quit to the dashboard. Like you, this is really infuriating, especially with Ea contiually saying "it's not our servers, it's your ports". You'd think with the profit EA makes they'd atleast be able to invest in decent servers and have them atleast working!

Hi Kid. Thanks for your reply. I am still having the same problems. As I write this I am waiting for the EA servers to wake up and set me up with a match! AAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGG! I have added you as a friend so will let you know if I hear anything. In the meantime if there is anyone else out there experiencing the same problems please add to this blog. The more of us who say something the more likely the chance EA will address this issue. Thanks.

hi, cuggsy, i contacted EA .. and they told me the same thing about the ports.... but the problem is not with that,because i can get online on my other games.. encluding FIFA 08, i also tried to get online on the menu of fifa 09 were it says ( sign in to ea servers ) but it also does not work, to resume it all, ( nothing works )... im getting tired of fifa 09 online problems.... i paid a lot of money for the game and the adidas live season... and now i cant use it.. ill start playing PES 09 instead of FIFA if the problem is not fixed.. thank you for the help bro.

IF ANYONE ELSE KNOW A SOLUTION FOR THIS ONLINE PROBLEM ON FIFA 09 PLEASE HELP ME!!!! I WOULD REALLY APRECIATE IT!

Hi. I don't know if this will help but being signed into the Playstation Network is seperate from being signed into the EA network. If your PS3 is set up the same way as mine then it should auto sign in to the playstation network. If that is ok then you might just need to manually sign in to EA which is an option on the first menu page of Fifa 09. I think it says Sign in to EA Servers or words to that effect.

Having said all of that I have had problems with online play myself. I am finding it increasingly harder to get an online match. I have tried numerous methods - quick ranked match, online lobbies, Fifa World Cup but seem to get Match No Longer Available or You Have Lost Connection Messages 10 to 20 times before I manage to get a game. It is not uncommon for me to try for over half an hour just to get an online match. it's starting to put me off playing online now which is a shame because usually it's the part of Fifa I enjoy the most. The only thing that doesn't seem effected are the online Be a Pro team games.

This problem became so frustrating for me that I ended up calling the EA helpline who told me the problem was something to do with having certain 'ports' open on my wireless network. They gave me some port reference numbers and told me to call my internet service provider. I called my ISP who didn't seem to know what I was on about and suggested I contact the manufacturer of my wireless router (Belkin). So I called Belkin and they also seemed baffled and told me to obtain the IS number of Playstation 3 - at which point I lost the will to live and gave up being highly confused.

So the problems remain. I love Fifa 09 but the problems I have experienced setting online games has spoilt the experience for me somewhat. Has anyone else experienced similar problems or can you help me out with any suggestions? EA are you listening at all?
