My First Soccer Game!

Hello my soon to be dedicated readers...lol. Yesterday was my very first real soccer game. I went to RFK stadium and saw D.C. United vs. Chivas USA. We had pretty good seats (section 229, row 13, seat 16 if anyone cares). When we first got there, they were giving away scarfs for the first 10,000 people who came. So, we each got a scarf and also those blow up clapper things, which I popped one by getting too excited. It was pretty empty in the beginning, but after the first fifteen minutes, it got packed fast! In my section, I noticed that throughout the whole game, everyone was standing up! But accross from us and next to us on the right hand side, they were sitting down (must have been Chivas fans...lol). It was AWESOME! And the game goes pretty fast when you are there in person. It was also frustrating because D.C. United lost, didn't even make a goal. It seemed that after Chivas made their first goal, D.C. United gave up hope. It was pretty sad. But we are going to another game next Saturday! This one even bigger than the last! Which one is it, you ask? Can you guess?
The craziest moment of the game was when I asked my husband a specific question during the game. I asked him if the players were allowed to take the ball away from the goalee when they have control of the ball. As soon as I said that, a Chivas player (I forgot the number) stole the ball from the D.C. United goalee (remember I am still a newbie) and kicked it to another player and that player ended up making a goal! It was like three seconds after I asked the question. Put it this way: My husband didn't even answer me yet...lol. He was a little upset because he missed that because of my question...my bad!
