Well, I played my first online dynasty game last night. My dynasty team is the powerhouse Arkansas State Red Wolves. Our first game came against the CPU at the #14 toughest place to play, Texas A&M. A win there could really help my recruiting efforts. My Red Wolves put up a valiant effort, but our hearts were broken when A&M kicked a FG as time expired to win the game. Final score: Texas A&M 13 Arkansas State 12. I hope the real ASU gets a big payday for playing at TA&M this year.
I've decided to give the quick call recruiting a go. Usually you can't count on the CPU to make good decisions, so I'm a bit hesitant. It seems as if you can get more info using less recruiting time with the quick call though. In 20 min of recruiting time, you can get responses to 3 pitches. Not bad. You can lose a half hour and not get an answer to one pitch sometimes with the usual method.
Next week I'm up against a scrub, made up D II team. Wish me luck!...
gnice, on the PS3, whenever you login in the game your ea avatar shows on the screen. It'll stay there no matter what mode you're in, as long as you're logged in.
I'm doing a little of both. I'm going after needs at several positions, and then just targeting interested prospects regardless of position. This is just the beginning of season 1, so it's too soon to tell if I've gotten any diamonds in the rough yet...
I think I'm going after 1 five star recruit...a punter. Right now I have a senior punter (who is terrible - good riddance when he graduates), so that's my top priority. After that, I think I'm looking at a couple of 4 star recruits, the same amount of 3 stars, and the majority are 2 stars. Maybe I could've gone a little more aggressively, but didn't want to end up with a recruiting class of 10 players.
I'm looking at mostly scrub recruits. We are just a 1 star team right now, so pretty much anyone that will agree to come to our school will be accepted.
