In a recent turn of events, it looks like Brett Favre may be making a return to the Green Bay Packers. I hope the news is true. Although I am not a Green Bay fan, I am a huge Brett Favre guy. I think Favre is one of the few guys left who gives fan what they used to see in sports stars back in the “old days.” Favre is a guy who more than anyone else in the NFL seems like just another guy. He went through numerous challenges in his life and through it all, he came out on top. Whether you like him or not, you have to respect what he has overcome.

What do you think of Favre’s possible return? Is it a smart move or should he stay retired? Is this something that you think will help the Packers or just hurt them in the long run?

Speaking of Training Camp, I bet Brett still wants to and thinks he can play, but a lot of those old veterans hate Training Camp or even the thought of it.

Growing up, I was a huge Niners fan and still am to a certain extent. Living near Cleveland really draws you into being a Browns fan. Anyways, I wanted the Niners to draft Rogers instead of Smith. To me, he is a much better QB and he is meant for a pro style offense unlike Smith.

It was also likely this would happen. It's Training Camp time and Favre is now getting that itch. I would like to see him come back, probably has been staying in shape as well, so if he still has the passion and body to do it, lace them up Brett!

Rogers is really getting the short end of the stick though if he comes back. The kid is not getting a chance to play!

haha cdj, that was the first thing i thought of too, and to think he could be the first to avoid it, he wants to come back lol. Hes denied the "rumors" but he has talked with the Packers, something about them not "officially" releasing him yet they wont let him go to training camp, i dont get it... but anyways.. Dewiel: If Favre comes back and avoids the curse then yes the Packers are in the hunt, if he cant avoid it or doesnt come back they have no chance, i love the guy too but i feel bad for Rodgers, GO PATS!

cdj, the first to bring up the curse. How do you guys think the Packers will do this year if he does come back? Do you think they can challenge the Cowboys in the NFC?

Doesn't he know he is cursed - being on the cover of Madden 09? He's better off just waiting until the following season. ;)

he needs to stay retired, he's been playing so long, he's gonna die of old age
